Background

Kaylee Coughlin attended East Tennessee State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in health science in 2022, graduating a year early and magna cum laude. While at East Tennessee State University, Kaylee also served on the Board of Diversity for the College of Health Sciences.

Kaylee pursued her legal education at California Western School of Law, graduating in 2026. During law school, she completed a clinical externship with the San Diego County Public Defender’s Office, where she was recognized with an Academic Excellence Award for her work.

Kaylee sat for the July 2026 California Bar.

Kaylee is originally from East Tennessee and now calls San Diego home. She is a proud military spouse of a United States Navy Officer. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, and taking her dog, Kali, to the dog beach.
